The Phantom of the Opera (1929) starring Lon Chaney, is one of the historic landmark silent movies. "Beneath the splendid riches of the Paris Opera House lie ancient catacombs with a dark and forbidden secret. Rumors abound that the Opera Ghost lives there still, vowing vengenance on the human race." This macabre masterpiece may be too frightening for young children, but it is as beautiful as it is menancing.
October 6th - "Why Change Your Wife"

Gloria Swanson plays an exceedingly prim and proper wife and whose efforts to impose her tastes and perfection on her husband cause her to lose him to another until at last the wife learns that being virtuous doesn't necessarily mean being dowdy and that you can be cultured and human at the same time. The movie features an immense collection of ravishing fashions and the latest in 1920 interior decoration, including a signature De Mille bathroom! This was directed by Cecil B. DeMille and written by his brother William.
April 7, 2006 - "The Winning of Barbara Worth" (1926)

"The Winning of Barbar Worth" is a Western adventure based on the novel of the same name by Harold Bell Wright, who was a native of Rome, New York. The story, although fictitious, was based on historic accounts of the taming of the Colorado River and the California desert, with the dangers and trials that the early pioneers breaved in the unforgiving new frontier. Orphaned in the desert, Barbara is rescued and raised by a wealthy entrepreneur and grows to womanhood in the same desert which became her home.
March 3, 2006 - 'College' (1927)

"College" is a fast-paced comedy with lots of action and amazing stunts performed by Keaton himself, while at Clayton College, Ronala (Keaton's character) faces incredible challenges while he tries to win the hand of Mary, the girl he loves (Anne Cornwall). The movie ends in a huge climax in a race to the finish conclusion!

"Grandma's Boy" is a fun warm-hearted story of a boy who just couldn't seem to fit in. After a misunderstanding, he loses the love of his life and goes through all sorts of antics to win her back. This movie is loaded with laughs and action along with some touching moments. It's a great movie for the whole family!
December 2, 2005 - 'Little Lord Fauntleroy' with Mary Pickford
"Little Lord Fauntleroy" is tender story of a poor, fatherless waif who discovers that he is the heir to his Uncles' enormous estate. The inheritance comes at a price because Fauntleroy is forced to choose between a life of luxury or his mother, since the Uncle unfairly disdains her. In a magnificent dual role Mary Pickford plays the parts of both Little Lord Fauntleroy and Dearest, his mother. This movie is beautifully filmed and masterfully performed.
November 4, 2005 - 'Our Hospitality' with Buster Keaton
A fast paced action/adventure movie filled with thrills and stunts. While traveling to claim his inherited esteate, Buster Keaton's character meets the girls of his dreams and then must go through many perilous adventures while he triels to win the girl he adores, includingbeling accidentrally thrown into a bitter and possibly deadly family feud. This movie is filled with "edge of your seat" fun!
October 7, 2005 - 'Safety Last' (1923) with Harold Lloyd
A fast paced action/comedy which includes the famous scene where Harold Lloyd hangs perilously from a clock tower. As with other Harold Lloyd movies, the actor perfromed his own stunts which adds to the excitement of a roller coaster ride of perilous mishaps.
